💡  Frequently Asked Questions


1. Why should I keep one thread per task?


Dodo creates one task per thread. A dedicated thread keeps context intact and prevents accidental duplicate tasks.



2. What if we debated multiple deadlines or assignees?


Your tagged message wins. Whatever details are in the message that includes @DodoTasks override earlier discussion.



3. When do reminders arrive?


  • Due-today ping: 00:00 UTC on the due date

  • Overdue nudges: Once per day (00:00 UTC) for up to 3 days



4. Does Dodo read all our conversations?


No. Dodo can only access the messages where it’s explicitly tagged. Task data is stored encrypted; chats are never saved or used for model training.



5. Is there a web dashboard?


Nope—Dodo lives 100 % in Slack. Fewer tabs, less context-switching.



6. How does billing work after the trial?


One flat rate: $19 per workspace / month. Unlimited tasks and members.

In case of conflicting details in the conversation, its a good practice to add the final correct context with the @dodotasks tag in natural language (without any special syntax).

Edit the task from the /tasks or /mytasks modal

Slash command not recognised

Bot permissions missing

Re-install Dodo or check Slack app permissions



No reminders received

Reminder window set but time zone confusion

Reminders fire at 00:00 UTC (to keep global teams in sync) - if its still not received, please recheck if the due date was added properly to the task
